Top ten scorers in Europe leagues in 2010 - 2011 ranked according to country coefficient comprises of 17 goals scorers. Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid striker scored 40 goals and earned 80 golden shoe points according to league ranking on UEFA coefficients to win the Golden shoe award given by European Sports Magazines. UEFA coefficient of the league depends on perfomance of clubs in that league in UEFA competitions in previous five seasons. Goals scored in top five leagues (Premier league, La Liga, Serie A, League 1, Dutch Eredivisie) are multiplied by two, and those in other European league are multiplied by 1.5.

The European Sports Magazines have given the award basing on UEFA coefficients. Mário Jardel playing for Sporting CP in Portuguese Primeira Liga scored most goals, 42. Based on UEFA coefficient Cristiano Ronaldo scored 40 goals to earn 80 golden shoe points, more than any other top scorer so far.
