4 Euro 2012 final: 67 goals in 26 matches, one penalty, one own goal, one denied goal and two top goal scorers on three goals

After 26 matches, 24 group matches and 2 quarter finals a total of 67 goals have been scored so far. Only one own goal, which occurred when England play Sweden and Glen Johnson failed to clear Olof Mellberg shoot. Only two penalties have been awarded, both to Greece, first in Greece vs Poland group stage which saw substitute goalkeeper Przemysław Tytoń saving Giorgos Karagounis's penalty kick. Another penalty was scored by Dimitris Salpigidis in Greece vs Germany quarter final. 

Germany has scored more goals (9) but has also played more goals than other country which are yet to player quarter final stage matches. Four players have scored three goals each, but only two of them are still in the tournament. Euro 2012 is yet to see hat-trick but Cristiano Ronaldo and Gomez went close. 

Real Madrid lead as club whose players has most goals combined as Ronaldo, Sami Khedira and Pepe has scored 5 together. Whereas Manchester City has most players (Joleon Lescott David Silva, Samir Nasri and Mario Balotelli) who has so far scored in the tournament.

The tournament has also alert UEFA on the need of goal technology after ball in England vs Ukraine has been declared that it crossed the line but was denied by referee and two goal line assistants in the pitch. UEFA referee chief Pierluigi Collina admitted but also insist the use of officials near the goals has not have similar problem in about 1000 matches. Blatter has not releaved goal-line technology is a necessity. 

Euro 2012 Germany vs Greece quarter final fixture has produced a maximum return for UEFA disabled support. The tournament charity will donated €3,000 for every goal scored which means, yesterday match which ended with 6 goals has contributed to highest donation so far followed by Russia vs Czech, Portugal vs Denmark and Sweden vs England contributing five goals each.
