0 Wembley Cup fixture and results/Video

The Wembley Cup is friendly football competition started on 24th to 26 July 2009 in Wembley Stadium. The competition involves four teams; The European champions (Barcelona FC), the African champions (Al Alhly), Celtic FC and Tottenham FC.

The first two matches saw Celtic leading the group after beating Al Alhly 5-0 when the weaker fielded Barcelona side draw 1-1 with Tottenham FC.
Matches continue tomorrow 26th July as European champions. Barcelona FC rock horns with Africa champions Al Alhly (Kick off 1:15pm). Later in the evening Tottenhma FC and Celtic FC will play the last game of this competition (Kick off 4:00pm).

Celtic beat Tottenham spurs 2-0

Celtic have defeated Tottenham to finish top in group in Wembley cup and made Harry Rednapp think of his team ability. Two goals scored by Chris Killen and Georgios Samaras give Celtic two wins out of two in Wembley cup and top the group with 6 points and seven goals after beating Al Alhly 5-0 in first Wembley cup game.

Tony Mowbray's side become champions and lift Wembley sup with two points ahead of European champions, Barcelona FC. Tottenham Spurs are now facing defence problem as four key centre backs; Ledley King, Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson are sidelined with injuries. The Wembley cup is a great motivation for Celtic who are facing Dinamo Moscow in champions league qualifies in wedsday.
