Arsenal FC legend and the current MLS side New York Red Bulls Striker Thierry Henry might move back to his former club on short loan deal on January transfer window. Thierry Henry once returned to Arsenal this year but was on a different club during Emirates cup which was won by New York Red Bulls.

During his time at premier league Thiery Henry won two league titles, 3 FA cups in 8 years period before he moved to Barcelona in 2007  for £16 million and then New Yolk Red Bulls in 2010. His contributions for Arsenal FC have been recognized official by the club by unveiling his statue at Emirates Stadium on club's 125th-anniversary.The Frenchman will be a perfect move for the gunner as replacement of Africa players; Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh who are expected to leave in January for the African Nations Cup.

Robin Van Persie have been the key striker for the Gunner and recently equaled Henry’s record on 34 goals in one calendar year and if he score in two goals in this year remaining two games he will be level to Alan Shearer’s 36 goals per year, a premier league record. Wenger sees Henry’s move as the best options to consider when January window open.

"I have to think about that,"  …………. "Short term is ideal for us, but I haven't made any enquiry yet. Wenger said and continued "January 1 is the vital date for us. We have seven days to make decisions and I will make a decision in the next seven days on players."

The striker score 14 goals for New York Red Bulls in the last season only two goals short from MLS top scorers Dwayne Rosario and Chris Wondolowski both scored 16 goals.

The premier league top goal scorers in the past ten years only have seven strikers. Thierry Henry won the premier league golden boot four times in the past ten years, in 2001-2002 as Arsenal won premier league trophy and when he won the award for three consecutive years 2003-2004, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. In the year 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 he also won the European Golden Shoe/boot award with 60 and 50 points respectively. Ruud van Nistelrooy scored many goals for Manchester United but only top the top score list once and gave Man Utd the title. Drogba won it twice 2006–2007 when Chelsea won premier league title and 2009–2010. Last season the top scorer award were shared among Manchester United Dimitar Berbatov and Manchester City Carlos Tévez both on 20 goals. Cristiano Ronaldo score 31 to fire the red devils to the premier league title and lead with most goals scored in on season in the past ten years but Ronaldo ranked third played to have scored many goals in one season since its inception 1992 after Andrew Cole (Newcastle United 1993–1994) and Alan Shearer (Blackburn Rovers 1994–945). But Cole and Shearer played in 42 games season. Cristiano Ronaldo shared 31 goals per season record with Alan Shearer though Ronaldo has high rate of goals scored per game 0.91. Andrew Cole is the only played to have played all league matches as he played 42 games in 1993–1994.
