0 Capital one: Arsenal greatest comeback from 4-0 to 7-5 victory against reading

Arsene Wenger hails his team after recover from 4-0 defeat to win 7-5 during extra time in Capital One Cup. Theo Walcot score hat-trick and two from Marouane Chamakh.

It was too painful for Reading as they lost the game despite leading 4-0 just after 35 minutes and scoring 5 goals. Reading was leading 4-2 on 89th minute before two quick goals. Much more painful to reading as they were made to play for 96 minutes instead of 94 and Arsenal equalizer come on 96 minute. Royals was at the brink of first win against Arsenal in 10 encounters.
Arsenal learned from 2011 experience as Newcatle came from behind 4-0 to level the score 4-4. A stunning goal by Cheick Tiote's leveled the score that day. But in this game Arsenal needed and equalizer to keep dreams alive and when they got it at 5-5 it was a matter of killing the game. It was until 121 and 123 minutes when they got the winning goals.

Much respect to Arsenal fans who stayed even at 4-0 and cheer for the team.

0 Transfer news: Arsenal FC new signings Park Chu Young, Per Mertesacker, Andre Dos Santos and Mikel Arteta

Arsenal FC have signed famous new players for various position. The signings includes Park Chu Young from Monaco, Per Mertesacker from Werder Bremen, Andre Dos Santos from Fenerbahce and Mikel Arteta from Everton.See all completed premier league transfers.

Arsenal FC new transfers Park Chu Young from Monaco, Per Mertesacker from Werder Bremen, Andre Dos Santos from Fenerbahce and Mikel Arteta from Everton.
Park Chu Young: The striker moved from Monaco to a premier league club is a big deal for both the South Korean and Arsenal FC. As a South Korean playing for the gunners, Arsenal a set to retain and even get more fans and even some revenues in Arsenal kits being sold in Korea. As to whether Park Chu Young will quickly adapt to Premier League playing style as compared to league one and considering he might have been a quickly available player for Arsene Wenger to bring in faster.

Per Mertesacker: The defender moved from Werder Bremen on final premier transfer days. He has played for two previous world cup final and in both reached semi-finals. He will be set to bring his experience and Bundesliga tackling style. Per Mertesacker as a defender he will quickly adapt at Premier league more easily than a striker. Werder Bremen was not and is not a usually title contender and Mertesacker won’t be that much trophy oriented. This will give him opportunity to play without pressure and may be in case cost Arsenal having a less ambition player. May be competition for place in first team will help him player well week after week, only if there will be competition.

Andre Dos Santos: Having sold there left back Gael Clichy to Manchester City, Arsenal will have this position covered with the signing of Andre Dos Santos from Fenerbahce. Ashley Cole position was well covered by Gael Clichy and Santos will be set to be the permanent Arsenal left back if he manages to outclass Kieran Gibbs. He runs on left flank will be vital for attacks generation and crosses that will be fetching sharp headers in the penalty box, defensively less is known of him when faced with top right wingers. The Brazilian and German international player are tasked with healing the porously Arsenal defence.

Mikel Arteta: The former Everton Midfielder set to put on shoe or Samir Nasri or Cesc Fabregas and play role in preventing Arsenal humiliation and even win something or at least reclaim Emirates cup. His experience in premier league is vital, Mikel Arteta only need to adapt to Arsenal playing style which is unique in England. More will be demanded from him and he will surely be on pressure to deliver for his new boss. Arsenal once sold Thierry Henry and couldn’t find a striker to fit his shoes, instead Cesc Fabregas emerge but his many goals and assist still couldn’t help them win titles. The new Arsenal hero could come from new signings or player in last year squad. Theo Walcott have already shown he could be that man.

Group E (Chelsea, Juventus, Nordsjaelland and Shakhtar Donetsk)
UEFA champions league champions; Chelsea FC also had had poor results in recent games. Losing to Athletic Bilbao in UEFA super cup and derby draw against QPR in premier league competition.

Champions are without their main hit man, Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres has showed if he can reproduced Drogba’s performance and goals. With injury worries for Petr Cech and Terry, Chelsea will have to find magic to reproduce their last year results and the likes of Eden Hazard and Juan Mata could bring those magic.

Group F (BATE Borisov, Bayern Munich, Valencia and Lille)
UEFA Champions league and Bundesliga Runners-Up, Bayern Munich last won the cup in 2001. The incident has been sandwitched by two big disappointments at 1999 final with Manchester United and 2012 final at penalty shoot-out with Chelsea at Allianz Arena.

Midfielders new signing Javi Martinez from Athletic Bilbao, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos, Thomas Muller, Xherdan Shaqiri and two wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery give Bayern Munich possession they wanted. Jupp Heynckes will miss his bundesliga top scorer and UEFA runners-up top scorer, Gomez and left back David Alba in opening tie.

Valencia faced financial problems, forcing the club to loss start players and missed major signings but they have managed to stay in top four. Once again Valencia has a chance to compete with the best. Last season Valencia nearly threatens Chelsea chance of qualifying but the champions won 3-1 on second tie. Combination of Roberto Soldado new signing from Real Madrid could be vital Fernando Gago

Group G (Barcelona, Benfica, Celtic and Spartak Moscow)
Barcelona playing in UEFAchampions league under new head coach Tito Vilanova for the first time since last season.  Lionel Messi is still the their top scorer in all competition having finishing as top scorer for UEFA champions league and La Liga despite tough competition with Ronaldo. Reached club and European goals record of 72. The Nou Camp club has greater hunger to reclaim UEFA trophy but one big weakness is over dependence of Messi, if he get injury they will surely strungle.

Benfica last season was knocked out by Chelsea FC in a tight game which could have gone to any team. It mainly relay on Oscar Cardozo and Rodrigo at front, receiving balls from Pablo Aimar at midfielder position. The team concentrates more on attacking and sometimes this expose them team.

Group H (Manchester United, Braga, Galatasaray and CFR Cluj)
Manchester United head coach, Alex Ferguson have signed two top players, EPL top scorer Robin Van Persie and Japanese international from Borussia Dortmund,Shinji Kagawa. Already Van Persie has started paying the money with hat-trick which earn united 3-2 win over Southampton. United also has young players Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck who can step up at any time and change the game.
Braga had big success in the competition last season, finishing third in group stage and moved to Europa league. This season they are more experience and as the group is not very tighter they might go through.
