2 Argentina's Di Maria, Higuain and Messi sink Paraguay 3-1 in South American - CONMEBOL World cup 2014 qualifies

Angel Di Maria score the opener with well taken kick just outside penalty box after good combination with Messi and Higuain. Paraguay’s consolation goal came through after penalty kick by midfielder Jonathan Fabbro after hand ball by Rodrigo Bran. Di Maria goal was followed by another Real Madrid players goals, Higuain who displayed fantastic finishing ability. Lionel Messi score the third goal with a well taken free-kick, the goal which adds to his recent good performance for the Argentina national team. Messi has rose his goals tallies to 28 for national team, 10 in the last 6 matches.

Argentina topped the CONMEBOL group for FIFA world cup 2014 with 12 points after 6 matches, one point ahead of Chile and Ecuador, two more than Uruguay and 3 more than Colombia.

0 Uruguay beat Paraguay 3-0 to win their 15th Copa America title

Uruguay have been crowned kings of Copa America after successful winning their 15th Copa America title. Currently Uruguay is the most successful national team in Copa America history. They have been progressive improving after finishing fourth in 2010 world cup. Before the final game, Uruguay tied with Argentina both with 14 South American championship titles, other countries are way behind to reach this Copa America record. Uruguay as champions, will represent South America in Confederations Cup.

Luiz Suarez was on score sheet again today to add his goal tally to 4 but he didn't score enough to equal Paolo Guerrero 5 goals. José Paolo Guerrero who secured a top scorer of the tournament Golden boot award after hat-trick he bagged against Venezuela. Luiz Suarez achievement was rewarded by being selected the best player of the tournament, Golden ball award.

0 Copa America 2011: Brazil 0-0 (0-2 pen) Paraguay: Brazil miss all 4 penalties

Paraguay sent Copa America holders packing to book semi-final spot after 0-0 in 120 minute and dramatic penalty shoot-out victory. Samba stars failed to convert even a single penalty and only one of them shot on target.

Three Brazil players; Elano, Andres Santos and Fred fired their penalty shoots wide, Thiago Silva’s penalty was saved by Villar. Cristian Riveros scored two paraguay’s penalties. Estigarribia and Christian Riveros.
